2018 Nissan Rogue: recalls and problems

Nissan rogue sport with 39,500 miles. while driving on a busy highway the vehicle all of a sudden was losing power and surging dangerously. barely made it home. there were no warning lights. it had to be towed to a garage. there were no leaks. i was told the cvt transmission would have to be replaced. it was towed to a nissan dealer who verified the cvt transmission would indeed need to be replaced. nissan said that

A/c started blowing warm air when car was idling, then car randomly overheated while sitting in traffic. once car cooled down, check to coolant levels and they were fine. after the car sat overnight a/c worked fine and temperature gauge was at normal. started the car with a/c on and popped the hood, the radiator fan was not on nor did it come on. now anytime the car idles for more than 1 or 2 minutes it overheats.

As i was driving, air conditioner failed to function, resulting in car overheating and 'check engine' light coming on. was able drive car safely home. problem was later diagnosed as malfunctioning radiator fan.
