Your information, explained.
What the service stores
We store the account details you provide, a hashed password, account security settings, vehicle records, job posts, bids, conversations, reviews, reports, and activity needed to run the marketplace. Uploaded images are converted to WebP and stripped of original metadata. The site uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in.
What is public
Job titles, repair descriptions, photos, vehicle make/model/year, general location and ZIP, budgets, and job status can be viewed publicly and indexed by search engines. Mechanic profiles, service details, and published reviews are also public. Do not put an exact address, phone number, license plate, or VIN in public content.
What is private
Your email, phone field, garage VINs, account security information, bids, appointment details, and messages are restricted to the relevant account or job participants. Administrators can access account details and job bids to operate the service. They can review messages attached to a reported conversation; that access is recorded in the audit log.
Hosting and retention
The service runs on AWS and uses Cloudflare for web traffic delivery and protection. Operational records and backups are retained to run the service, recover from incidents, and investigate abuse. Session records expire after 30 days. Public pages use self-hosted fonts; this rebuild does not add advertising cookies or social sign-in.
Your controls
Update your profile, remove vehicles when no active jobs depend on them, change your password, and export your account data from Profile. For a privacy or account-removal request, use the report form on your profile while signed in and describe the request. Administrators review requests through the connected report system.
