2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: recalls and problems

Engine failure on our 4-cylinder- it just quits same problem as on the 6-cylinder - it just stops running or runs rough. no warning signs and no indication that it is about to fail. hazardous on the freeway. vehicle has been at the mechanics for a month now and gm keeps saying the engine is on backorder.

Evaporative emissions purge pump failed at 18,473 miles. as the bumper-to-bumper warranty has expired gm refused to cover this repair. as this is a known problem with certain gm vehicles, the repair is covered for older model year out-of-warranty cars and for residents of other states (california, for example). this repair is covered by the emissions warranty in some states (california), but not michigan.
