The electronic parking brake (epb) actuators are bolted directly to the brake caliper. it has been detected that the factory retaining bolts lack a threadlocking compound (such as loctite) to prevent them from backing out due to normal vehicle vibration. as a result, the bolts back out completely and fall off, causing the actuator to become loose and detach from the brake caliper.
