2017 Honda Civic: recalls and problems

The vehicle is experiencing a severe and dangerous “sticky” and “notchy” steering sensation specifically at highway speeds (above 40-50mph). while traveling in a straight line, the steering wheel momentarily binds or catches. to make minor lane adjustment, i must apply sudden force to “break” the wheel free from this sticky spot. this causes the car to abruptly jerk or overcorrect creating an immediate crash hazard.

The car failed to turn on and the brake pedal froze in a locked position. the warning lights flashed on the dash indicating a system failure of the brakes. this is a known safety issue with this vehicle but not acknowledged by the manufacturer.

My air conditioning failed producing cool air in late 2020. i took it to honda penske in ontario. the said at that time the evaporator core is leaking but it not covered by warranty. i had pay out of pocket to install freon and that would like me for 5-6 months however the same problem would return. the following year i took it to el monte honda dealership where i purchased the car. they reviewed and stated the same
