OBD-II code · Powertrain (generic, extended)
P2084 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Range/Performance (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
The bank 1 sensor 2 EGT reading deviates from the expected ratio against the upstream EGT sensor or modeled exhaust temperature. Confuses DPF regeneration control and may force a forced regen.
Is it safe to drive with P2084?
Usually safe to drive in the short term. Get it diagnosed when convenient, sooner if the car drives differently.
